Meet Roderick Lewis 

Roderick Lewis has served for nearly five years as the Regional Director for Prince George’s
County and Southern Maryland for both Maryland Senators Ben Cardin and, currently, Chris
Van Hollen.

He graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in 2019 with a BA in Political Science.
Throughout high school and college, Roderick worked on local campaigns, including for
Delegate John Bohanan, and remained active in the St. Mary’s County NAACP Chapter. He
also interned in Congressman Steny Hoyer’s District Office and served as a legislative intern in
Annapolis for St. Mary’s College during the 2018 General Assembly session.

Roderick has served on the St. Mary’s County Democratic Central Committee and currently
serves on the Charles County Democratic Central Committee. After graduation, he joined the
St. Mary’s College Admissions Office, helping recruit future Seahawks through the challenges of
the pandemic.

He resides in Waldorf, Maryland, with his husband, Ivan, their two cats, Laura and Scrappy, and
their dog, Bentley.
